We do not always get to choose when children decide to arrive – and sometimes, life as parents starts earlier than expected, which can be tough. Regardless of when your baby joins our world, neither you nor your child should have to compromise on the quality of the clothing you choose.  

Dive into our collection of baby clothes for both premature and full-term babies, all created with care and intention. We design and produce only newborn baby clothes in 100% organic and GOTS-certified cotton that is soft on the skin and comfortable to wear. 

Natural cotton fibers are not only soft—they are also gentle on the skin. Cotton is also somewhat temperature-regulating, which makes it ideal for newborns who need support in maintaining body temperature. 

Baby Clothes Designed with Care

At Serendipity Organics, we aim to help give every child the best start in life—that’s why all of our baby clothing is made with a focus on both quality and functionality, care and comfort.  

For premature babies, who are born early and may have special needs, we offer body onesies with discreet side openings for tubes and lines. Additionally, our onesies are designed with full-length center snap closures or wrap-around openings, making clothing and diaper changes easier. Many suits and pants feature long sleeves and enclosed feet.

Our designs are simple and timeless, with soft, natural colors. We want them to be suitable across genders and generations and easy to mix and match. 

Sizes 38–62 for Premature and Newborn Babies

Baby clothing sizes refer to the baby’s height. That means size 50 generally fits a baby who is around 50 cm tall. The number is not the length of the garment but the baby’s height. 

Newborns in Denmark average 50–52 cm at birth—but they can be taller or shorter depending on the length of pregnancy, genetics, and gender. Premature sizes can also fit babies who are naturally small but not yet ready for standard baby clothing sizes.

That’s why it’s only natural that all our baby clothing is made from organic cotton fibers that are GOTS-certified throughout the entire production process.

Organic cotton is grown without harmful chemicals and hand-picked by local farmers who care for the plant from seed to mature cotton bloom. The same care is carried through the spinning mills—cleaning, spinning, dyeing, weaving, and knitting. Learn more about our organic cotton here. 

How to Care for Baby Clothes from Serendipity Organics

We make a great effort to ensure that our clothing is sustainable at every step—from cotton field to finished garment. You can help extend the life of the clothing by caring for it gently and thoughtfully. 

Here are a few tips on how to care for your natural cotton baby clothes: 

• Wash knitted cotton textiles at 30°C (86°F)/ cold wash. They can tolerate 40°C (104°F), but in most cases, 30°C is enough and better for our environment.
• Use only eco-friendly, fragrance-free detergent. 
• Avoid fabric softeners and bleach entirely. They're not good for the clothes, the skin, or the environment.
• Knitted and woven cotton can handle light tumble drying at low heat, which gives the clothes a lovely softness. 
• Store clothes folded, dry, and never in direct sunlight.
