FROM WORLD TRAVELLING TO QUARANTINE – time for thought!
We asked talented photographer Adelina Colucci if she could make some nice summer shoots when travelling in Tunisia during New Year’s 2020. Fascinated by her and her family’s lifestyle of minimalism, focusing on experience and not material things, travelling a little like nomads. She takes wonderful photos.
Then came a game changer – the virus – no more travelling and quarantine for her and the family currently in Tunisia.
First Photo is from the quarantine period, where she has posted a photo for every single day on @dailyadayThe later photos are from before quarantine.
Enjoy the photos.
Read Adelinas' story below - Have Fun and Stay Safe!
Adelina tells her story: ” I have been taking pictures since forever, when I was a kid in Paris with my Polaroid instant camera, then in the 90's with disposable cameras. I grew up surrounded by antique treasures and curiosities, always drawn into charity shops and garage sales, trying to time travel to the past.
Traveling just runs through my veins. I have lived in many countries: France, Spain, Italy. Our babies were born on different continents. First Bianca, our fierce and wild baby, with a heart of gold was born in Paris. Second Bonnie, our shining ocean babe, who came to complete our tribe in Australia. Both births have been extremely risky and scary, and we are so glad to have them on our journey through life.
After a couple of years, we said farewell to Australia, to settle in Tunisia for new adventures. Exciting at first – Now in quarantine. The quarantine has, terrible as it is, also given us time for thought. We have really been doing our best to live a meaningful life together and to collect and encapsulate all little moments and wake up the next morning and start all over again.
Looking back, traveling with our toddlers has helped us live in the present moment and slow down to their pace: We have seen the world through their eyes, and it is invigorating.
Five years ago, we dared to wander and explore the world together, we wanted to do more than just travel, we wanted to really explore, make new habits, new patterns, new friends. Wherever we'll be, we'll be shaping a slow lifestyle full of wanderlust and adventures, creating precious memories.
Our two girls are learning how important it is to look after our planet and value everyone on it, and we, as parents, learn and grow with them.” Someday soon the little family will once again live as they originally planned and go on to new adventures.
